How these are written
Each study sets out what Scripture says, and keeps that separate from what Christians have historically believed, how different traditions read the passage, and where scholars genuinely disagree. Where Mt. Pleasant holds a Baptist position — on baptism, on the Lord’s Supper, on how a church is governed — it is named as a Baptist position rather than as the only possible reading. Where a question is open, it is left open.
